There are 8 ways to create text based article products.
1. Action articles- An article that provides actions at the end of the article that the reader can take.
2. Pdf transcripts
This is when you take your article and turn it into a pdf that people can buy. You can also record your teleseminars, have them transcribed, and turned into pdfs which you can sell.
3. Miniguide
You can take your 7 tips article and then write an article for each tip. This will turn your one article into 8 articles. Bundle the 8 articles together and create a miniguide.
4. Special Reports
Special reports can be eBooks and other products in disguise. You're really just renaming the product because many people are more comfortable with the term Special Report.
Tip: Many times it matters as to what you call your product. For example, Jeff Herring had an eBook called Sizzling Senior Sex. It sold well right away, but then all of sudden the orders dropped off. What happened? He was trying to sell an eBook to senior citizens. Most of them didn't know what an eBook was. So he started calling it a Special Report. The orders started to pick up again because senior citizens are more familiar with the term Special Report.
5. eBook
If you have written a 7 tips article, you have the outline to your eBook. Take each tip article and beef it up into a chapter. You will have a 7 chapter eBook. An eBook can sell for any amount of money such as $97.
6. eCourse
An eCourse is more powerful than an eBook. In an eBook you only have a onetime contact with the customer and you provide them with a bunch of information. They may become overwhelmed.
An eCourse on the other hand sends your eBook through smaller chunks in an email Autoresponder. You can also send one article per email. Or you can take a tip at a time and expand it. This format enables you to touch your customer more often and in smaller more digestible chunks.
7. Booklets
to get software that will take an 8.5 by 11in. piece of paper and flip so that you can create a booklet. Your booklets can contain a collection of your articles.
8. Collections of your articles
The only traditional book Jeff Herring has is a collection of his columns from the newspaper he worked at. You can apply this and create an eBook or traditional book. The options are endless as far as repurposing your article content.
